Shure product delivery times
« on: July 12, 2018, 05:30:01 PM »

Anyone else have trouble getting Shure products?
Been told 2.5 months on a pair of QLXD for a client and been waiting on four KSM capsules for 6 weeks.
What’s the deal? They moving production? Financial?
Thx

I had a QLX-D/KSM9 system on order in May and ended up cancelling it after 4 weeks.  I got several "Will ship next week" messages during that time.  I have also sent in two KSM9 capsules for service.  The first one I received back in less than a week.  The second they have had longer.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the KSM9's - they maybe having QC problems with the KSM9 heads, as I've had two failures on relatively new heads in the last month preceded by many years of zero failures.  Other than that I have no information.

Hope you get your stuff soon.

Oh, I can beat you both.
We ordered 2 extra channels of PSM900 in mid FEBRUARY...
We got the transmitters in late FEBRUARY, got a big song and dance about where the receivers were and when we would get them.  In mid MARCH, they got tired of us and sent us 2 P10Rs (yup, they work fine together) from service department to "borrow" until our P9Rs ship.
Still using the loaners.

On their wireless lines, it really is a case if demand vs. supply.  I've heard from inside that they're running 3 shifts at all of their RF gear factories and that their electronic component suppliers can't keep up. Sennheiser is in the same situation on their RF products.

Service, on the other hand, may be a completely different matter, although it stands to reason that faulty components needing replacement might be the very same that their suppliers are struggling to produce.

You scored. P10R/P9T is a notably more functionally robust system than P9R/P9T.

Last QLX-D channel I ordered was a drop ship, June 20-21 or so. It shipped within 24 hours (QLXD24/B58A).

Took 4 months to get a 421B antenna combiner..so it's not TxRx only.
Indeed Sennheiser also very slow..we have a 16 ch G4 lav system as well as a ewIEM on order since early June..now projected to deliver midAugust
