MAP pricing also lifts on July 1 so expect to see some deals offered.

I went to the launch of G4 about a month ago and it is a seemingly great progression. These are the highlights that I took away from the launch.

1. G4 is not a new communication protocol which means that it works fine in a G3 system environment. So no need to panic over incompatibility with G3 builds.

2. Some great trickle down tech. making the EW100 and EW300 series quite formidable. In fact I was struggling to understand why I would purchase EW500. : P Although EW500 does have some wide band options.

3. Some products have come down in price a little. At least in my territory.

4. Power supplies are now a part of the ASA-1 antennae splitter package.

There are also other features that escape me right now. All good from where I sit.

Is there any functional difference at all between the IEM-G3 and IEM-G4? A different OLED screen does not count.

Given the availability issues of G4, I hope they have plenty of G3 stock so there's not a gap in availability.

I believe the ASP2 is discontinued, and the ASA214 has replaced it - essentially the same thing in a G4 style, and the PSU is much smaller.

For that matter, all of the PSU’s shrunk considerably with G4.

One important point is the GA3 rack mount kit is now included with the ew100 G4.
"Shipping now" is not true tho..I have 16 ew100 systems backordered as well as a IEM..projected mid to late July

I asked this question 6 weeks ago and got no answers.  It appears the RF tuning range is larger, but other than that, no one has commented if they sound any better.

The G3 wall warts were embarrassingly huge and inconveniently shaped.

I am pretty sure that it is only the oled screen and maybe some screen display data and maybe some bandwidth. However, G3 tx/rx will function with G4 tx/rx.
