That looks very interesting. It isn’t very clear but it looks like you are manipulating things with the software connected to the console but then just storing the data on the console in the consoles scene system. Which is limited to 100 scenes, I haven’t done a show with less than 100 scenes in a long time. Does this mean that once a show is all setup (written) that you don’t need the software running? Does this only work on one mixer at a time? I have been using 2 Midas M32s for my shows lately.

I will have to download it and play with it.
That's essentially it! It's a great tool to use with the console for DCA assignment and mute programming but still uses the consoles built in scenes. I generally use snippets to narrow the recall scope to just DCA assigns and mutes. Once programmed, the show can run without needing A2 running.

But true, the console is still limited to 100 snippets/scenes, unfortunately.

In X32 edit when you open show control on the scene tab the second row is called paramater filter. All boxes that are checked there get added to the snippet. There are no options to protect paramaters that are added to the snippet as far as I know.

What you could do however is make a new snippet in slot one where the only data you safe is your effects. You would have to load this after loading every snippet you've already made. When making snippets you have to be carefull and select only the parameters you want the snippet to change, the mixer safes only seem to affect scene loading.

Hi Jack,

I’m the mod for that forum so please hit me with a PM with some more details and I’ll investigate what may have gone wrong with your account.

Tim, was this recently or a while back? I’d like to help if you let me.

Hi Jack and all,

I answered the snippet question here
https://forum.musictri.be/showthread.php?22351-SF-Rack-problems&highlight=snippets+controlling+mutes

Regarding the login issue, I was encountering some PM posting problems last week as well, which maybe related. Let Robert or I know if you are still having these login/posting issues and we'll look into it.

Paul

Glad you fixed it, Jack.

Now for those playing along in our home audience, why don't you tell us what you did to fix the problems you were having?
