Hide a mic stand?
They did a pretty good job of hiding the entire article!

The gist of it:

"Authorities have called off a lockdown that paralyzed Western Connecticut State University and Danbury Public Schools after learning that a person reported to have been toting a rifle was in fact a university employee carrying a microphone stand.

The state university and local schools were locked down early Monday afternoon following reports that a person had entered the university with a rifle. Mayor Mark Boughton’s office said Monday afternoon that one suspect was in custody, and that police were emptying campus buildings to find a possible second suspect. At one point, Boughton wrote on Twitter that city police were using drones to scan rooftops for the second suspect.

But by 2:30 p.m., university officials clarified that the “suspect” was an employee carrying a microphone stand and declared, “All clear.” ""

A couple on months ago a videographer was detained for carrying a 'weapon' that turned out to be his camera tripod.

But will you need a concealed carry permit?

Considering that you and me and others here carry mic stands the no social issues or politics does not have anything to do with this article. I am also concerned about carrying cymbal stands in public cause they might also be mistaken for a rifle. With all the shoot first and ask question later by the cops I will now transport single mic stands in a trap case until inside the place where its going to be. Many people have been shot and killed by police for holding cells fones that the cops thought were a gun. Just be aware that a mic stand, cymbal stand, and anything similar can be mistaken for a gun and with all the school  shootings that have happened lately I dont want to be shot.
