Good stuff! We're getting ready to take a similar plunge this coming year. We're starting to get a steady stream of gigs now that need a bit more than what a high quality SOS can accomplish. So while what we have will definitely cover the events, the ease of setup of something like a pair of SM80s or SH69/96 is worth its weight in baltic ply over having to deal with an array hang.

Yep. With right height and angle, you can get very even coverage front to back that rivals or bests an array, and still have the coherence of a single source.

But it won't look as cool ;)

But it always shocks people; the quality and power.
I've never had so many comments about how good the PA sounds.
