There doesn't seem to be a profile for this range in WWB6, it is an ENG unit using an SKP 100 G3 and one of the belt pack receivers but I can't seem to find the unit on Sennheiser's website in that frequency range.

I just copied another units profile and edited the frequency range to match that frequency range but was wondering if anyone else has seen one in the wild. I'm in South Africa but it is an American crew that is running here and seems to have brought their own gear over.

Some background this is a conference we are running and they just wanted an audio feed from FOH for their cam recording and handed me the unit and asked if the frequency is fine to use. It's on a local TV station but so is every other channel in that range so I can't help that, it is far away from my closest frequency(in the 600MHz range, once again I'm in South Africa) so gave the all clear if they aren't getting any dropouts.

To the best of my knowledge, and their are others on here who will correct me if I'm wrong, there was never a Sennheiser Evolution series G1, G2 or G3 that had tuning below 500MHz.  518MHz was the lowest tuning shown available in any of my documentation, worldwide, for the Evolution series through the G3.  There is wider tuning available now with G4.

This is known as G3 band A1 and I've heard that it will also be available on G4 systems. It actually spans 470 to 516 MHz.

And, I stand corrected.  My bad for not checking beyond my downloaded references.

My understanding for G4 is that in 300 and 500 series a wider tuning range altogether is available (up to 88MHz) so different band splits than G3.  AW+ will be 470-558 MHz while GW1 will be 556-608MHz.  It looks like the 100 series will still have the same A, A1, and G ranges available that G3 had.

I am also told that G1 - G4 systems are intercompatible so, with the exception of pilot tone which was not available in early Evolution systems all other parameters should be good to go when setting up Wireless Workbench or other coordination software.

...and G3 "A" band actually starts at 516.000 instead of 518.000 MHz. On a side note, for a while there, if 518.100 suddenly popped up, I knew instantly to search the room for a videographer. It seems like they all bought the same G2 system and just left them on the first frequency that came up.

I always enjoyed going into new venues for the first show with outside suppliers .... 4/5 times, their 'General Announce' mic was a UHFR-H4 tuned to 1/1 .... and live ALL the time to the 'house'

Hmmm, thanks for the correction. 
Again, I must have looked at older documentation.  Sennheiser's original A band documentation lists A band as 518-550MHz.  It looks like G2 is listed in Sennheiser documentation as 518-554 MHz.  It changed to the current 516-558MHz with G3 and 2000 series. 
I just found a chart from Sennheiser that shows these changes starting with G2. 
I guess I need to cleanup my reference files 😁
