Hi folks, the adventure continues, in the cleaning process i have fond a number of fixtures that have lenses become loose of the fittings, there is a greasy residue on the edge of the lenses. what is the best adhesive / silicon ( heat tolerant? to what temp ) to use to hold these in place, i assume being optics these really need to be bang on when being re-seated.

Hi Ben. I believe what you need is the stuff they use for repairing glass oven doors. It needs to stay a bit flexible. Try searching Control Booth or High End’s forums.

LightParts.com can probably sell you the OEM adhesive, but i’m sure it will be expensive.

I bet High-Temp RTV silicone would work.

Auto parts store, get some RTV for gaskets IF you are really concerned about the heat.
