Shure j50a band question
« on: March 24, 2019, 10:46:57 PM »

I am probably going to add 2 more ch of QLXD that are currently h50 band 534-598. In my neck of the woods (Columbus OH) There is a lot a clear spectrum around 595-605 which makes shares new J50a band (572-615) interesting. That being said, is it possible for redundancy sake that a h50 TX can be picked up by a J50a RX in the common band (572-598)?

Thanks

I'll answer my own question here with the help of Shure customer support (which I can't say enough good things about!) you can use a H50 transmitter with a J50a receiver in the overlapping freqs, you will just have to set the transmitter manually...pretty cool

I'm just a small fish here, but I own 4 channels now. Haven't needed more than that on a front line yet...yet!
