Connecting mixer to sub to amp
« on: May 09, 2022, 03:10:57 PM »

Hello, we have a Behringer QX1832USB mixer and I'm short on outputs from the mixer. I'd like to connect Main Outs from the mixer to an Alto TS315S Subwoofer. My speakers are passive so I'd like to connect the outputs from the sub to our Crown power amp. Is that safe? The sub has two inputs and two outputs - does that mean they're separate signals (stereo).

That should be fine. I'm pretty sure the two inputs/outputs stay separated for stereo operation, but reading the manual would be a way to confirm that. The sub has six output modes, four for specific Alto speakers, one generic high pass and one full range. I'd probably try the generic high pass.
