... ordered the 902. Just cant say no at the price. buying for less than it will be worth used in 5 years time.

Talked myself into it that way, too.  Sweetwater's already backordered on the e902, so I guess we're not the only ones.

Hmm 935 or 945
Don't see 914/965 happening although I would be all over them if they would. Not that it matters because the sale appears to be limited to North America.

I went through a UK distributor, Gear4Music, after Thomann (Germany) said the e904 was back-ordered and it'd would be weeks before they got stock. They were willing to honour the discount, though, so don't lose hope :)

I'll enquire then since they both have a Dutch site. Which one agreed to the discount? If the European distributors are stocking at discount prices they are making huge profits per sold mic this year.

On topic: Just found out I could use some 908's too so they are now at the top of the list for me.

Both showed the discount on their websites for the e904. Thomann sold out pretty quickly IIRC. Haven't checked the e902, but if they're not doing the discount for those I'm sure a quick phone call would sort things out for you :)

The promo from Sennheiser is running all year. It will be a different Evolution series mic on sale for $99 every month.

Feb – e865
Mar – e904
Apr – e902
May - e906

So far they have outsold inventory and production capacity. Sennheiser is working to limit massive orders and ramp up production so that more dealers can offer this promo and to protect market price down the road.

So Tom, any word on what the June mic will be.  I'm going to pick up a pair of the E906s tomorrow.

And, when you say "pick up", do you really mean "get in line"  ;) ?

I'm still waiting for March and April orders to get shipped but will also be adding to the list tomorrow.

Sennheiser changed the promo. May is now the e609. June will be the e845/e845-S

Which one could buy for $99 pretty much any month of the year.  Too bad.

I'm now wondering if Sennheiser will honor the backordered sale prices or simply cancel them?

Yeah, I was going to order another pair of e906.  I guess not.  To my ears the e609 is an SM57 in a different package - other than form factor there is nothing to distinguish it.

I got lucky with my March order.  I had it in 2 days.

I skipped on the e902.  I already have a beta 52A, a D6 and a M88TG.  No need for additional low frequency mics.

I'm going to see how my may order goes.
