Danley Pro Lite 7.5 DSP
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:23:30 AM »

I found this amp used.  Waiting for it to arrive but have a question. The literature says: "The front-panel LCD screen allows users to quickly identify and assign presets, while the USB port allows users to load presets and enables external setup and adjustment."

-Where the heck is the USB port
-What software to use with signal shaping?

I'm used to Crowns and Behringer DSP software.  This will be new.

Just fyi, I'm pretty sure this is a rebranded Xilica dsp...looks a lot like a XP series unit...

Actually, it's a rebranded Crest Pro-lite 7.5 DSP.  Look to Crest's website for a good install manual.  It has nothing to do with the DNA series or Xilica.... not sure what the other posters are talking about.

From what I've read there is no USB connection or software for these amps.  Must have been a typo.  I considered the DSP models when I was looking for mine, but those two points are why I ended up with the non-DSP version of the 7.5 in my rig, and a separate processor with USB software.  I'd rather use software than a tiny screen in my opinion.

IIRC there's also a youtube video somewhere from Danley that covers the menu system in that amplifier in great detail, including how to load their presets (which of course don't come on the Crest branded models).

There is no GUI on this.  Everything is done from the front panel.

Once you understand "the flow", It is easy to get around on.

It has presets for most of the Danley products inside.  You can recall them, and then modify if you want, and store in a memory.  But you cannot overwrite the preset, only store the modified one.
