Speaker Cable Length
« on: February 14, 2018, 06:23:17 PM »

I have a simple question about speaker cable lengths,  and it’s something I’m sure that has been discussed before. I run passto be subs still in my main rig, and was wondering if both speaker cable runs need to be the same length?? I ask this because I normally have my amp rack and console (Presonus RM series) placed directly behind my stage right stack. Didn’t know if I run a shorter cable if it would affect performance or cause any left/right balance issues. Thanks for any input!!

How much of a difference are you talking about?

Ha. The answer last week was, "No." Speakers haven't changed since then, so that advice should still be up to date.

To the one side, I’m running a 50 foot. I’d like to run a 15 on the opposite side to clean up my stage

No as in it won’t affect performance or no as in use the same length??
