The most current firmware for all Crown, JBL, and other Harman Professional brands is in the latest release of Audio Architect.  There may be other utilities...

Anybody using 2 srx818 with 1 srx812 per side? tried it for the first time last night and it sounded more balanced...1 srx818 per side with 1 srx812 i always felt 1 srx818 wasn't enough..the srx812 can get pretty loud..with 2 srx818 per side it sounds perfect/awesome..

I have the single 18's with the 815 tops and yes, when I run a mono sub-stack that side sounds perfect. My plan is to add a single 828. The only bummer about the 828 is that it has no pole socket.

I run my 818's wide open and the tops set to +5, or as needed.

A pair of SRX815's will ALWAYS outrun a pair of SRX818's.
However, a good example for me in a small/medium venue would be SRX818's at full and SRX812/SRX815 at around 6.
Larger venues I can use an added SRX828 at full and still only have the SRX's at around 10-11.

That's good settings..I been running my 2 srx818sp at full like the people here recommended me and I'm loving how they sound, and tops at 0 or +6 depending the event.

Hi there Debbie I like your setup ..right now I'm having a hard time deciding between the srx828sp or another pair of srx818sp to go with my other 2...is the srx828sp better since its a bigger box?..

Jonathan my decision to get the SRX828 instead of the 2 SRX818's was based solely on 2 things: cost and space.
The SRX828 is stupid good value for money compared to the SRX818 and it takes up a little less room than 2 of them.
The down side of course is that there is no pole cup and it is bigger and heavier to move around.
Better?... it depends. I doubt there is any audible difference between 2x SRX818's or 1x SRX828.
IMO as long as you don't mind about the cons to the bigger box, save yourself some cash and get that instead - especially as you already have the SRX818's like I do for scaleability.
