Aligning a Chauvet Scorpion RGY Laser
« on: January 19, 2018, 05:16:30 PM »

One of my Chauvet Scorpion RGY lasers had a bad stepper motor.  I replaced the motor, but now the beam doesn't exit the center of the window.  Does anyone have a procedure that describes how to align the laser properly? There are several places that affect alignment (The "mirror box" mounted to the chassis, the motors mounted to said box, the mirrors mounted to the motor shafts, the lasers themselves, the angle of the dichromatic mirror). I'd like to hear from someone who can share experiences on what to adjust before I start poking around.

I've also notice when trying to create a line on a 45 degree angle, the line ends up being two lines that are curvy.  I'd like to take care of that issue as well, if possible.
