BTW...how did those cheap RF mics work out?
I need to get up your way for a visit.

They "work". If you talk in anything louder than a normal voice the capsule distorts. The front LED is just a backlit decal. They do look nice and are probably perfect for kids karaoke. Best thing is that I don't have to listen to them.

I just ordered one of those 7 x 10 w lights from Amazon Prime. $65 CDN delivered. For that price I'm expecting an empty box :) . Should have it by Tues/Wed. I'll post my thoughts.

I'm not sure I believe the watt numbers on the ad's. I'm going to compare the 10w to the 15w light next week. The newer 15 watt leds are much larger than my 10w models.

They also sell a light in this casing that has a bunch of fixed color led's. It sells for about $18 on ebay, with a fixed power cord and no power out option. I don't recommend this light as it is dim and doesn't respond well to dmx.

The RBGW units with 10w leds can be had for as little as $34 each on ebay:

And on Amazon only $23.99 ( I have 3 of these)

terrible manual but easy to figure out.....

That's about 30 bucks CDN. Then there's duty and shipping. Probably work out to 65 bucks when all is said and done.

I try to use Amazon Prime. Satisfaction guaranteed. So far.

I used my cheapie lamps twice this weekend and they really are worth every penny. I tried to listen for fan noise because of comments made here but once they were in the air, I really could not hear them. The fan noise would never put me off at these prices.

Just got one in to test. So far I'm blown away. The lamp is very bright and the fan is quiet in the room it's in. Can't hear it over the HVAC. Seems well made for 65 bucks CDN. Shipped. It looks to be about as bright as the Rush MH2's I have. They move but were about 20x the price. Very easy to operate manually. I'm going to recommend we get 24. I could use a few on my backdrop.

This one

Looks like an American distributor that sells to Canada.

Now I'm looking at uplighting shields. Found these so far.

Look nice.
Anyone know of any cheaper ones.
