What did you buy to reduce taxes :)
« on: November 30, 2017, 09:24:36 PM »

So this year has been a good one for me!!!! So good in fact that I have been able to pretty much replace the entirety of my my old rig with that of a new one! In order to help reduce my taxes I have stepped up a notch on the performance scale. So I got me a bunch of new tools!

Midas M32r and a rolling case with doghouse!
JBL SRX812p X 2
JBL SRX818sp X 2
new Ultimate TS100b's ( air powered for, well whatever )
new Ultimate M20 sub poles for the obvious.
Bags for all the stands to keep em pretty :)
4 pelican style cases. If you have a Harbor Freight near by you should check out their Apache line. Not too bad for the price.
A series of differing lengths of XLR cables to round out my current inventory. My wife thinks I can wrap around the globe with them :)

Still to come are speaker covers and some DI boxes. Also in the market for an all new monitor rig. That will come next year, but I want self powered coaxial wedges. Looking at the Turbosound TFM122M-AN, or the RCF NX 12-SMA. Both are about the same price and what I'm looking for. If anyone has any experience please chime in. No one near me has them, so direct comparisons are not easy for me get.

What did you get to reduce your taxes? Always love hearing about new gear days!!!

We recently supplied 8x TFM152M-AN's to our local touring reggae band as a upgrade to their personal as well as local show monitor rig.
This was after demoing one for a month.
Probably best to start a new thread on this topic

Well, by far my largest investment was replacing my entire wireless mic inventory. But it wasn't prospective tax bills that forced that.

Boss told me to buy a new computer. The old one is only 5 years old and still keeping up, actually not that excited about the upgrade.

But for audio gear we're buying more Axient Digital, and I think another QL5.
