Currently with Master Fader, with judicious use of view groups, I can avoid swiping nearly altogether. I can pretty much group my channels into sets of 8 (percussion) (vocals) (stringed instruments) or whatever so I don't have to swipe.

^ This!

I am considering an MR18 for rehearsals, but I'd jump at the chance for a used DL32R at the same cost as the MR18 new.

I don't find that I need to swipe much (if at all) on the x-air and the m-air ipad apps since you can create your own layers and it can also show you 16 faders plus the master fader in a single view.

Given that this is only an 18 channel mixer this should cover the most uses I think.

Perhaps the only drawback is that the layer selection is a two-press action rather than one, but it doesn’t bother me personally.

Just spent a couple of hours getting to know the Ui-24r (Thanks Mike Pyle!).

This thing rocks!
