Cable Clothing Clips, the great disappearing act
« on: October 06, 2017, 12:37:00 PM »

Hi Folks,

I'm pretty good about keeping track of cable clothing clips with wireless earset/headset mics.
Renters aren't, so I charge them.

Over the years I've seen some good clips and some pretty bad ones.

Who makes a good, modest cost clip?
Hopefully with black, white and tan options.

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

I don't know which microphones you use, but I'm happy with the dpa clip on the d:fine headset. Should work well on any cable with the same diameter. Available as a spare part with five clips/box.

With the exception of their small parts being easy to lose, Sennheiser MKE2 clips are darned near perfect, IMHO.

Hi Daniel and Jason,

Thanks for the suggestions.
I found the Sennheiser MZQ4EW for about $10 each,
and surprisingly, the DPA DMM0519 for $12 for a five-pack.
There's also a Sennheiser CCL 01 which I could only find for sale in a bulk order.

I also found this which might be useful:

Good finds, all.  Although MKE2 clips are significantly more expensive, they have what none of those do; built in cable strain relief and a means to cleanly loop the cable around clothing edges to the inside of the garment.

The clips that come with the Shure MX150 lav are very similar, and likely cheaper.
