I'll be lopping off whatever connector they come with and soldering on TA5F for Lectrosonics. There's a link to a Shure adapter on the sale page if you're not into solder.

Thanks Tim....I get the PSSL daily deal emails - I think I was sent a link to this yesterday. Ya think it would be decent? I wasn't sure how 'real' that list price of $549 was... I noticed the one with adaptor is $99.

For $50 I'll take a flyer on them. It appears that MAP is $499 and B&H has 5-star reviews. I'm not direct with Harman and I don't see a price at my distributor.

Thanks Dave - that's too easy.

I ordered 2 mics and one adaptor. I might switch out the other one to TA4f or just aim to use the same adaptor if I need to use the back up.  My concern is that modification would void the warranty ( I know at $50 who cares- right ?) but I sprung for the adaptor just to be safe right now.

There is not one single clip on YouTube or Google showing a DPA D:Fine cable repair.
I’m even wondering if it can be done.

It seems that way until you start poking around inside TA connectors with a soldering iron. . .they're rated by the number of F's you'll utter while trying to solder them.

Yeah - these days I even have to use a magnifier sometimes just to solder XLR's and 1/4" jacks so I wasn't looking forward to dealing with those tiny little wires and terminals.
