Blu-ray player with front-panel navigation controls
« on: September 15, 2017, 04:22:17 PM »

Searched around quite a bit and haven't come up with anything.

Got a job where it would be great for the client to not have to use the remote to navigate through menu items on the discs. There used to be a Pioneer DVD player that had front panel nav buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, Enter) but they no longer make it and I need Blu-ray. No budget for any sort of a control system (what we typically do to eliminate remotes).

Any suggestions?

Have a look at the Oppo players.  They have the right sort of buttons on the front, though whether they do everything you need I don't know.

They also have all sorts of useful features for professional use including suppressing OSD menus and remote control over network or serial.
