JBL vrx 932
« on: August 01, 2017, 11:36:54 AM »

Hi guys,

Had mentioned about a year ago of possibly flying speakers at certain venue. Well not it's not an option owner wants it done. Have a chance to pick up some vrx 932s to replace current SRX 725s (2 a side) and wanted to know opinions from those that have experience with the vrx. Was looking at doing 3 per side to get 100 x 45 coverage. Would be keeping existing 6 SRX 728 subs. Also realize it's a constant curvature line array which hope would work in a room that's 60 x 170 ft.  Thanks!

If you really need 100 degrees wide. VRX is a bad choice. It is horribly narrow between 1k and 2k.

Thanks David,

Was good deal and with existing subs was hoping it may work. May have to revisit sm80 or sm60. Will also check out other options. Thanks again!

Check to see if your 725's are the "F" version, those had fly points accepting M10 eye bolts
If not look into the 835, that comes standard with the same type of flypoints, is a nice upgrade to the 725 and you could use your existing amps and wiring.

Good luck with the upgrade!  Let me know when you're ready to sell those 725s!

Get the ceiling height and the appropriate RT60 and plug it in here:
