Looks like a major update.

Anyone else seeing this thread as a bit broken?

The title appears to be regarding QSC TouchMix desks, but the first few posts are about Ohm's Law...

Chris

There's more than a few threads that are a "bit" broken.
I assume it's got to do with this http://forums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/topic,163768.0.html
I guess the administrators only did a partial database rollback, which probably resulted in messed up post/thread IDs and what have you.
It makes me wonder why they didn't temporarily shut down the forums before performing an update? In my experience with running websites, "updates" never go as planned. Shut the forums down for half an hour, make a complete backup of what's important, and perform any updates you want to do.
Also, only perform updates if they fix some important security bug, or you'll be having to deal with broken themes, plugins, and so on afterwards (aka. if it ain't broke, don't fix it).

It looks better now.

I'm looking forward to the QSC update, but will give it a week before updating myself. Firmware bugs come out a lot faster when there's a few thousand people testing. Chances are it'll be fine, but it's my main desk and I can't afford to brick it.

I downloaded and installed the new TouchMix 16 firmware. No problems.
There are a lot of nice new features and I really like having the aux mix selection available on the main screen.
I tried the feedback exterminator and it actually seems to work very well. After the feedback filter is set you can go in and adjust it like any other parametric EQ. The screen is a bit more cluttered as there are more features available.
All in all it seems like a really nice upgrade and well thought out.
My main mixers are the QU series but this mixer fits a niche for my own personal uses. I would certainly buy it again as it is perfect for the need it fills.
