He then slapped me in the face, told me to send it back, called me a traitor, and then just walked away.

Good thing I'm working nights this week. I can't sleep anyway.

Bob, after the 'discussions' that you and I have had about the 'B' word, I have decided to file a Writ challenging your mental state and ability to handle your own affairs.  Coming to a court room near you...soon.

I'm copying Uli on this and pleading with him to call off the German hit squad he sent to Boston.

I would be more worried about where he outsourced his wetwork to.

Why in the world would Uli be angry about Bob finally buying his gear...?

He's always been angry.  The hit team was dispatched before his current reversal

I have had some off-list communication with him and he seems relatively normal, considering the influences of having too much money.

No I haven't climbed on the Uli train.

I REALLY didn't mean to sound like I was slamming Uli.    I was more making a joke about Bob's easing his  Never Berry attitude and it didn't come out like I wanted it to.

In my one personal experience with Uli, he was polite, accessible, humble (he was emailing ME??), and generous.       Some folks I know in the organization tell me that he is that way with everyone.  Flies coach.    Stays at the same business class hotels with the employees when they get together for meetings, etc.

I can only imagine what a jerk I'd be if I had that kind of success!

Well, if he flies coach, sleeps with the paupers and is humble, maybe he isn't as wealthy[successful] as we think.  After all, he made his mark by selling things for less money than the competition.  Sharp pencil engineering can do that but taking less profit can also do that....

Seriously?? You don't go around gobbling up companies without serious profits.

With all the forum members here who attend trade shows how many have bumped into him in coach (I can wait)? At his level in business I would expect his time is too valuable to spend that way.
