18 Major Market Re-Pack Details
« on: May 03, 2017, 04:18:54 PM »

Hi all,

Howard Kaufman out of our NY office compiled this information so we should show customers at the NAB show. I thought you might also find it useful.

Interestingly, some markets will not lose or gain any total spectrum below 608 MHz, but a few channels are moved around. Some markets will lose a fair amount...

Karl, do you know what dataset Howard used? I've complied my own Current-Future charts and have very different results.
Interested in the discrepancy.

Cameron, I figured there might be some discrepancies between your work (and others) and what Howard has come up with. I'm sending Howard your way so you can compare notes.

Is there a version of that that also has the frequencies on it? For the people like me that haven't memorized what TV channels cover what frequencies? :'(

The Lectrosonics' charts do not show LPTV, as their repack won't be determined until next March.

There's also some confusion (at least on my part) about LMR.

EDIT: I've been asking around, and it looks like this won't be an issue in the Chicago market.  Your mileage may vary.
