Warbling distortion on Marantz CDR420
« on: April 26, 2017, 05:51:40 PM »

I have 8 identical Marantz CDR420 recorders on a show recording meetings. They are all setup identically. 6 are crystal clear on playback, but 2 are introducing a faint warbling digital distortion. It does not show up in the live monitoring, only the recorded media upon playback. I think the problem is internal to the record deck itself since this model is older. Anyone else experience this problem? Suggestions?

Are you recording mp3 mono? There's a glitch that shows up with that combo - not during monitoring, but after playback of the recorded material. Lots of fun that one was...
