Sennheiser Net 1 issues
« on: April 05, 2017, 11:04:41 AM »

I recently bought a Net 1 to network four EM 300 G2 mic units and I cannot for the life of me get the Net 1 to transfer frequencies to the handheld transmitters. I hit the channel button and hold the transmitter in front of it and the channel LED just flashes forever. Am I doing something wrong here? I've used the G3 sync feature hundreds of times, so I get the idea of what's supposed to happen, I just can't make it work.

I don't recall the G2 having transmitter sync. I think that showed up with G3.

I believe that is correct.

I use 2 Net1's with our G2 gear, and, after having set the rack-mounted components through WSM, I then flash the corresponding hand-held mics and IEM packs using the IR DATA LINK in the front.

Evolution G2 series are specifically mentioned on page 17, and the procedure to transmit frequencies is described on page 20 (for IEMs) and page 22 (for hand-held mics.)

Hi Clark,
A couple of silly questions, maybe, but: 1.) Did you use the supplied RJ10 connectors to connect the NET1 to the rack-mounted components?
2.) When in WSM, were you able to connect and configure the rack-mounted components? Then check the results on the rack-mounted gear?

I told you the were like to be silly questions :-), but thought that it sounds like something basic isn't right.

Absolutely should work...

Just thought that, since you likely bought this used, maybe the IR link is broken?

Ah, i see the IR link is on the NET1 and not on the G2 rack transmitters/receivers.

Yup...use the left Net1 rack ear as a brace for the HH and it will be the perfect distance from the IR Tx to sync

I vaguely recall having to update the firmware on the HH transmitters when setting up our G2 system.
