Also, not into the sound of Funktion One.  These are not going to be used by DJs or in night clubs.

I would have to agree here.

I have to give a plus to Vue and Fulcrum as others have mentioned and would also suggest the Martin CDD LIVE 12 or 15 if you have a chance to give them a listen.  I prefer the 12 if it will be used with a sub.

I ran a test with a Vue H12 VS a Danley SH50.

The SH50 walked all over it in terms of SQ. I went with the SH50s after that test.

Yes. The H12 and H15 are completely different. I'll guess you did not  like what H12 does in HF?

We use Fulcrum Acoustic FA22AC.  They meet all your requirements. They're fantastic.  I haven't heard anything better.

I would definitely back that up. The FA22AC is the best sounding high output speakers that have graced my ears. Absolutely amazing.

I have no experience with Vue and haven't seen any down hear in swamp land.

The FA22AC would be my first choice for a premium box with your specs.

Hi Doug,

From the specifications both seem to be using the same HF driver.  I'm not sure that was always the case (?)

FWIW the VUE H15 sounded excellent, very impressed, but the price was very steep all things considered in my part of the world.

My experience is they are somehow voiced differently.

Yes, the HF was an issue.
It's the same with all the 12" Vue speakers I've mixed on, they seem to have a strange voicing.
