Who Provides Sound and Production on St. Thomas
« on: March 12, 2017, 11:37:41 AM »

We have been asked to provide sound and light production on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.  I need to know what companies can provide a small 8 hang aside line-array with 2 SC-48's for one event and can provide a point source system with a Midas Pro2c or Yamaha QL/M7/CL for two additional days.  Both systems will need house/lights and monitors.  Theses each show will only be attended by 400 people.  If you could PM me or send me an email to:

[email protected]

Thanks for the help and I know you guys will know the correct answers.

Why do you need a 8 cabinet per side PA for 400 people?

Because the artist or client thinks they need it AND someone is willing to write the cheque for it.

Yeah-they are all the same---------

You can tell how the "popular" culture has changed.

Southpark used to show "80s style" PA setups.  Now it is line arrays-----.

As long as it is "popular" it must be good-right?  At least for the rental companies.

Ivan, no surprise here, Tim is exactly correct.  For this size show, I wouldn't even use two SC48s except the client wants it and is willing to pay for it.
