Ok, I've had enough of these shaved gorillas destroying my DPA's.

Somehow our gorillas missed the shaving...

Good luck, Tim, and let us know in a few months how your choice(s) work out.  We went to "billable as a consumable" for some of these items, and credit back part of the charge if the units come back in acceptable condition.

I miss-read the title of the thread as "which headset mic is most bombastic?"  Time for more coffee....

I could get past that with a little gaff and a lot of epoxy.

The sm35 is looking like what I need. Cheap enough to be somewhat disposable, and looks fairly beefy.

This is for a meeting room (theater style) that I don't have a tech in. The users end up doing things themselves. The users insist that they need headsets. The last time I went up there somebody had taken the 2 4088's completely apart so they could hold them like handhelds. Even though there are 2 HH's also in the room.

At my last church, we used the Shure WBH53.  It's not teeny and invisible, but not giant and ugly.  They were darn near bullet proof apart from the headset.  Folks would occasionally get them twisted and a mess, but they are cheap to replace.  I was very pleased with what we got out of them.
