I've ran into the same issue with the DBH218. A manager at Nocturnal Wonderland (EDM event) claimed that the sub didn't have the energy he wanted. I just lowered it from 70-100hz (100hz crossover), increased the mixer output a touch (was hitting around -6 on my mixer after that), and it rumbled away. He was happy after that. I was working a small area and not trying to push the DBH, although that's quite hard cause if you breathe on them they get loud.

The Danley's or JTR's would be my choice because of their more flat response. You'd have more options for more gigs and still be able to push the system harder than an equivalent driver JBL/EV setup. Not everyone likes that punch in the DBH218 but the beauty of it is that the DBH218 is still mighty powerful all the way down to 30hz. It's just if you're missing that 20-30hz, the DBH218 will push lower in pairs, probably down to 25hz, vs. the TH118 won't.

Is this why Danley hasn't seen action at any of Insomniac's events? I've seen them providing sound before, actually the Pure Groove guys.

I guess the reason is that they have not hired any gear in?

I meant I haven't seen any PG or Danley rig recently on Insomniac events. Most of the pictures are line array setups.

And again, what Ivan said- clearly, they haven't hired either PG or Danley.

To get an answer as to why, I'd suggest reaching out to Insomniac and asking them. That would result in an explanation.

They have used Danleys . Here's Nocturnal Wonderland with the PG J1s back 3-4 years ago.

You're saying two separate things.

"I haven't seen Danley or PG."

"They have used Danley." Here's some pictures.

Your two statements are contradicting each other.

Ivan gave a possible answer as to why you haven't seen them recently. I reiterated it. You don't appear to understand the answer. :(
