d&b J series vs Outline GTO C12
« on: February 02, 2017, 09:46:59 am »

Hellos,
       Greetings to all.
I would like your valuable suggestions for system comparision of these two boxes.
D&B J Series Vs Outline GTOC12 .

Though on paper GTO C12 has a higher spl , but what about the tonal quality of the product. ?

Ive been using d&b V series for around 2 years and has had a great time with the boxes. Now to go to the next level of shows primarily concerts 15000-20000, ive a need to upgrade.

Though i would like to maintain the quality for the events , but with the amount of finances involved , its becoming a difficult decision.

Kindly share your suggestions in regards to the above mentions boxes. Please share pros and cons both. your suggestions will be greatly helpfull.

Regards,

While I can't directly compare the two systems, if you're already an established d&b house, it makes sense to go with J series if it fits your needs. J and V combine well into larger systems and you can continue to build your inventory of D series amps that will work with both boxes. Also if clients have come to appreciate the services you offer with your V rig, it will be a comfortable upgrade to the J rig.

+1 for Steven's post.  The GTO is respected as are the d & b V series.  Why would you want to start over with a "new" system?  Lower cost? Better performance? Why?

Dear Don ,
One of the main thing is the budget for the systems.

Great! One of the times I'd wish for a like button.
The outlines are highly regarded by people who've used them.  I don't claim first hand experience though.
I've used some of the other boxes they offer and have been very impressed.
