The clouds are an awesome idea. Looks great, although the color changes are a bit sporadic for my taste.

Care to elaborate at all on how you achieved this?

I was surprised nobody posted any NYE pics

Oh well

A bunch of friends throw a house party every year, in years past we would bring in a decent size PA, Traktor DJ rig and some LED lighting. This year I put a Milan M12 on a stand, plugged in a laptop and put on Spotify. Then I poured a Rum and Coke.

Yeah we had a bunch of presets our projection guy did. The clouds themselves have a PVC base at the top, chicken wire wrapped around it to create the shape. Then adhesive spray on the chicken wire and you'd need quite a bit of polyfill depending on how big/many your cloud(s) would be. Then you would need an entire 5m led strip roll per cloud, we tried with less but it just didn't get bright enough. Also we didn't go the digital route for the control of the LEDs so we didn't have pixel control, but did have separate control for each roll. Don't know the specifics on the software and how all that works, I was in charge of the Danley system. Hope that helps!

I had a very easy New Year's Eve gig.  The Liane Carroll Jazz Trio at The Royal Hotel, Ventnor, Isle of Wight.  A posh place which wouldn't usually allow the likes of me in!

A Soundcraft Si with a pair of EAW JFX290s FOH and another pair for monitors.

When I got there, the Yamaha piano was playing all by itself, so it did a soundcheck before the band turned up!

Here you go. I got to play New Year's Eve in a Candy Store for a "1st Night Out" event. The entire FOH was a single DSR on a pole.   FYI- I'm the fat guy with the guitar.
