Light (NPI) on how the electrical service was done, but the grid power with AT/genny backup is common at pretty much all broadcast events. A few do Really Big UPS battery banks to deliver stable power while the genset kicks in...  On a few events I've seen the genset power used as primary and the grid power as back up.  Makes sense, as the grid needs no spin up time.
