Desk / Table outlet for phones laptops ETC
« on: November 13, 2016, 04:09:21 pm »

I have made a few of these for friends as Christmas presents.  They are based on outlets mad to be installed in office cubical floors.

The first one has a grounded outlet on the back and a three wire cord.

Very nice, Frank!  Back when fixtures were pretty AND durable...

Nice. Now you just need to figure out how to fit a USB charger into one of those.

That seamed like a good idea, and a challenge, so I have a new one.

I predict that someone will try to plug a hairdryer into this.  ;D

I have made a number of these for family with the stoch 120 VAC outlet in them.  This is the first 5V version.  Your prediction is exactly why I have refused to make them for anyone else.  The slots are spaced wrong, but "The trouble with making things fool proof is that fools are so darn clever."
