Multipath issues?
« on: November 01, 2016, 07:04:55 PM »

HI, I had a show the other day where I was get little ticks on my IEM's whilst walking around listening to the packs. I sounded like it was interference from something. So I re-scanned with a TTI and re coordinated and I was still getting the same noises. I changed the rf cabling to the TX antenna and no change. I should add the hand held mic I had was solid. I also tried turning off 1 IEM and then watching the same frequency with the TTI whilst leaving the others on and there was nothing there. I did that for all of the IEM's but nothing. Could this have been Multipath propagation? The stage had what looked like an aluminium roof and had a ground support truss system around the stage.

any body got any ideas?

cheers

What IEM's were you using? It would be helpful to know if they were diversity or non-diversity. Most importantly, how did the show go?

Hi, they where Sennheiser G3's and the show was fine no one said anything. Once you added  program to them you couldn't hearing any artifices. I'm just interested really.

Is it possible that one of the sound sources was making the sound? Something like a gate opening on a drum channel could cause that.
