The cause of shaky video? We're talking earthquake video!
« on: October 20, 2016, 04:02:56 am »

This camera was fine, (with stable video,) for the first 20 minutes or so. Suddenly, apparently when the battery got lower, it started this shaky business. Anyone know what may have caused it?

It is a JVC GZ-E-10BU. The SD card was formatted in another camera and then swapped out to this one. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. But again, first half of the recording is stable. Vegas Image Stabilization plug-in doesn't fix it.

I doubt it would have to do with the memory card, especially if the 1st 20 minutes was OK.  Can that cam be run under wall power?  It might be due to the low battery (?).

Have you updated to the latest firmware?

It appears the firmware fixes a picture shaking problem.

Firmware? Wow! I would have never thought of that. Thanks! I'll try it.
