Soundcraft Si EQ question
« on: November 01, 2019, 01:09:37 PM »

Is there a way on an Si Performer console to be able adjust the individual channel parametric EQ's to make adjustments for in-ear users without affecting FOH?

Let's say the singer wants to tweak the EQ for his vocals only and maybe a guitar in his in-ears, but I don't want what he does to affect FOH.

Thanks

I don't think that there is "nodal" processing available in the SI line of consoles, if there is I haven't found it on my Impact.
Since the console has 80 channels to mix I would make a duplicate channel for the in ears and EQ that channel differently.

Not having used an SI Performer, couldn't a change like that be managed through the EQ for the AUX the in-ear user is on?

My experience has been that you need to have separate FOH layer(s) and Monitor layer(s) to achieve this.

I think that is best practice.
