eBay China Par 64
« on: September 21, 2016, 08:48:17 AM »

What is a good reliable Par64 from eBay? (I know you get what your paid for)

I purchased a few of the 10mm 177 led par 64 and some of the led were dead pretty soon.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advanced.

Looking for something similar as well. A buddy of mine has some Pulse64 lights that I've been using as truss warmers and uplights for 10-15' and they work well for the clientele that I have.

Ideally I'm looking in that $30-50 range depending on feature set.

I just built my light show using these, and they are working perfectly. The only down side is that the fans are a little noisy:

Search around eBay, same fixture is under $25.00.  I have 12 of the previous version that has the built in power cord.  Agree on the fan.  I had no problem finding 5v and inserting a wireless module.  It's cheap and slick.

Please show me a link Scott! This is the best I could find at $38 each. I did buy a couple of similar looking $20 lights, but they don't have multi color LED's and are nowhere near as bright. Also, I need the IEC power linking.

In a PM to you Steve.  I don't want to put a link to someone I don't know in a post as it could be construed as an endorsement.

You do indeed appear to get what you pay for, so the latest batch of purchased LEDs we've stumped up rather more than we have previously, and have got a bunch from QTX in the UK, and they look the same as the WaferPar 7 from Colorkey.  Not had them long, but so far, they seem really good.  The fan is also a lot quieter than the previous LEDs.  We bought them after recommendations on another forum from several satisfied purchasers.  Our previous batch of LEDs are mostly in one state of failure or another, but the batch before that are still mostly OK.

I paid $38 per light, now down to $32. Wow, how low will they go? I should pick up a 4 pack for spares, as I consider these disposable. I guess I should stop calling these $50 lights....

It's pretty nuts isn't it?   I ordered a box, the guy has good feedback.  Anybody that knows how to search can find it, I am not about to give the guy a couple 1000 free hits.
