So disappointing - generators didn't arrive..
« on: May 21, 2016, 05:13:34 PM »

We are running the sound at the outdoor show we normally do and no generators... The bar owner forgot to order them. So we had to run a cable from the building wall... Only 1x 15 amp gfci - yep... Every few songs, the FOH goes off but everything else is ok.... Does that sound normal? Is it being caused by the lack of power? Why only the FOH?... Because it draws the most?

When you say "FOH Goes off" what does that mean

The console shuts down?

There is no power at the "FOH position"?

Does FOH mean amps?

Usually the console does not pull the most power.

We need a better understanding of your term "FOH".

I consider it to the everything at the physical mix position.

Maybe you mean something different.

It sounds like the srx828 is going out. Just FOH goes ft completely... Srx815's are connected to the sub. The console stays on.. What on earth?

Debbie, just a guess, but the speakers might go in to a "protect" mode and shut down if/when there is a big enought voltage sag.

I was able to run another line from somewhere else.... And connected a few back line things that wouldn't affect PA ( got break music running) Electronic drums ( ahhh), the bass players combo, and one monitor but it is still happening.

That would be my guess.

Certain products shut down when the voltage gets to low.

"back in the day" the only thing that would happen is we would lose output and possibly pick up some hum because the the voltage going into the regulators was not high enough.
