Would a Cakewalk Sonar-specific tutorial for X32 be helpful?
« on: March 10, 2016, 01:50:55 PM »

Hi everyone.

I've been working to get my new Behringer X32 working smoothly with Cakewalk Sonar Platinum, and for the most part, it's up and running smoothly.  I was wondering if it would be helpful for me to write a post that essentially goes over everything I've learned in this tedious process.  I know that I have been unable to find very much information on working with the X32 specifically with the Cakewalk Sonar platform, so I thought it might be helpful to others, but wasn't sure if this was the proper place for such a post.  I know that most posts here are questions asking for help.

I could include screenshots, etc. where appropriate.

Thanks,
Ben

I'm using Sonar as well and would like to know how you were able to properly setup and run Sonar Platinum with the X32?]

Sounds like it should be a youtube video.

What's different about getting Sonar set up versus any other DAW?

I used Sonar a few years back and never had any issues with the two or three interfaces I used it with.

Is the tediousness on the X32 side, the driver side, or the Sonar side?

I'm just curious.

Ben,
I use Sonar for MIDI files and backing tracks only. USB to MIDI interface, to Integra-7, 8 channels to board, done. Recording is done using Cubase.

All that said if you have some insight there is a section for board connections, etc. where your post would be appreciated.
