Hi Everyone,

I am looking to train my 'younglings' and not so youglings in the arts of Mixing and general understanding of sound. What materials have you been reading and found useful.

I have read the yamaha sound referance guide and found that to be a brilliant foundation. What i am looking for is mnaterial that isfoundational and secondly DVD or Books that can help FOH engineers to become better at mixing.

I know there is not bette thing than to practice on a desk but i would like some training that is outside of our group and thinking to stretch us.

Soundcraft produce an easy to understand guide to sound desks, setups and mixing.

There are lotsa great resources on PSW's study Hall. The Shure material is very helpful, especially.

The Soundcraft is an excellent website as well as couple of the major manufactureres in the white pages or how to sections.

I have read the Duncan Fry book and th yamaha book and foudn these to be excellent material. Just wonder what most people are teaching there new sound enginners with.

Also strecthing your more establish riders with.
