Looking for sound/lights in Kitchener, Ontario area
« on: March 24, 2016, 05:00:27 PM »

Some of the cast I worked with till last week may have a gig in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. They are looking for PA/lights for one night in a hotel ballroom on May 30th.
Anyone know of a good company in that area? Probably a 5 - 7 piece dance band.

Thanks for all the replies and PM's. Unfortunately the bandleader has informed me that the gig has fallen through.

I do some work for Bates Audio out of Hamilton, going in the other direction PA Shop in Dorchester. Both do quality work and would make the trip.

I've only personally deal with these companies on the install side of their operations, but Sherwood Systems in Kitchener and Soundbox Productions in the greater Hamilton area are both good AFAIK.

AshenWhite would be my first choice but they don't have a lot of money and I was thinking it might be cheaper to use someone locally.

My vote would go to the PA Shop in London. They can handle anywhere between 200 to 20,000

Hi John:

I'm a single owner/operator and weddings/corporate bands are what I do full time. I'm in Bolton, about an hour from Kitchener/Waterloo. If you could send me the size of audience, band info and start/end times of the event, I could send you an equipment list and price.

-thanks, Mark

Sherwood Syatems, Straight Street Event Services and Palmer Audio are all local Kitchener companies.
