Layout of lights on Truss for NYE
« on: December 17, 2015, 08:56:36 pm »

M = Moving Head Spot
W = Wash
S = Scanner
Truss = 14' wide 12"x12"

The photoshop pic is just a starting point so looking for different options on how to set it.  I usually just set it once I get there but figured I pre wire it this time (which doesn't really affect too much).

I've always felt short spans of truss like this are more limiting than helpful.  Leave the movers and put the wash lights around the room.  It's about getting good light on the dance floor not framing the dj in cool toys.

Agreed. 2 Truss towers with a moving wash on top and a truss warmer inside looks way more classy than a tripod setup like this

I did towers for them at this same venue earlier this year but they didn't like the overall look as much as they did when the truss was flown so back to the air it shall go.  Most people won't be looking at the stage during the party, usually just during the countdown then after that they will go back to dancing and drinking.
