Qu-Pad App Talkback Feature

Anyone use this feature? If so, please tell me if I'm understanding this correctly.

The Talkback feature on v1.8x is simply a remote for the talkback settings on the desk?
An external iPad mic will be needed?
Can a bluetooth headset be used?
