Prx 615
« on: November 11, 2015, 11:32:14 AM »

During a show this past weekend had one of my Prx 615 monitors just die. Sounded fine during sound check. During set guitarist signal no monitor. Went up noticed no light on front so assumed it got turned off but looked and power switch was in on position. I replaced with another monitor for rest of show. After, I switched power cables and check connections inside. Everything looks fine. Appears power supplys shot. Would I need to replace the amplifier assembly? Thanks

If it turns out to be the amp module, spend some time online looking for your replacement. I had to replace the woofer in one of mine (same cabinet), and I found an online price that was 50% lower than what my local JBL dealers were offering. Get the part number from JBL and then do a search.

Yep

If you are sure it's the amp, you can send in just the amp to JBL for repair. I found their repair prices to be reasonable.

You can call to get a repair price
