ADJ DOTZ TBAR or Chauvet 4Bar TRI-USB
« on: November 11, 2015, 12:44:01 PM »

Hello folks,
I am looking for some basic lights for my band.
I'm going to purchase one 4 light package to start with, and if I like it, I plan on buying a second.
I want a package that comes with a case, is quick to set up, and has a foot controller.

I started by looking at the basic Chauvet 4bar, but quickly noticed that the 4Bar TRI-USB has brighter fixtures.
I have also seen some decent reviews of the ADJ DOTZ TBAR.

All of these units fit my criteria of being quick to set up, nice case and a foot controller.

So I'm looking for some thoughts or opinions on the ADJ DOTZ TBAR vs. the Chauvet 4BAR TRI-USB.

Thanks in advance.

I have two of the ADJ DOTZ TBAR Systems in my dry rental stock. They are dead simple to use, quick to set up, and they come with nice carrying cases for the loaded bars. They've held up well for me also.

I have owned 4Bar Tri systems for a while and I love them. However, they are not flicker free. That means if you're doing a wedding and you want to dim them and there's a videographer there, he won't like that at all. If you don't dim them they're fine for doing video but you can't dim them. You can Google it if you want to learn why some lights are not flicker free and screw with video.

Thank to you both for your suggestions.
My use is for 'bar band'....so no dimming necessary.
I went with the 4Bar Tri.....and they are really great for their size.
Very bright compared to the older 4 bar lights.
The case that's included is great, and set up takes 30 seconds.
Highly recommend them.
Now....getting the D-Fi USB to work properly....that is the next challenge.
