I never tried with the threaded poles , only have done it with the k&m adjustable distance rod poles. Works well with these , it's not a m20 thread pole... Just a normal one... If that makes sense

What kind of events can you do with that setup? about how many guests and what style?

Have narrowed it down to these two subs....Using (4) RCF HDL 20s for highs....RCF subs are bigger and about $2500 more for a pair...both have pole mounts which is a requirement for me....Application is mobile dj...Would love some feedback...I would also consider DB DVA S30...Mostly EDM, hip hop music...Any other subs I should be looking at...FWI I owned the Danley TH 118's and liked them a lot but not sure I would go with them again for an active sub...

I've never used or heard the RCF but I'm sure they are no slouch and look very professional (I like the foam backed grill).

That said, I regularly use four LS2100p (carpet version) and they still continue to impress me. They get loud, go low, have lots of punch, and sound good doing it, but they are definitely heavy. In the end, I am very happy with the LS2100p.

I do corporate , small concerts , weddings , no issue. All different styles of bands , Typical ny / nj type halls , probably up to around 300-guests depending on the room. If I need bigger I do a 4 box hang of the hdl20 .... Coverage is much better that way obviously ....

If you like the yorkville 21" but want a more "pro" looking cabinet look here

http://www.vtcproaudio.com/ns21p.html

same thing just better handles and hard paint over carpet. this is the pro line from yorkville.

Looking at retiring. Local PA market has shrank to 2 guys with guitars and bose l1 compacts or expecting full line array and 16 movers on stage for $300... no middle left going back to event DJ stuff, half the work for twice the pay.

Virtually none, outside of crossover point adjustment. These sound much different than the LS801's. at least to my ears, the 80hz hump is not nearly as prominent. The 2100 produces smooth and powerful output to the lowest usable frequencies. They truly are remarkable, and OMG loud.

I worked with the 800p this weekend and its credible how much low end it puts out...I can't even imagine what the 21" sounds like...It was too boomy for my taste and not tight enough...How much eq'ing are you doing to yours?

We went with the S30 over the 8006. It sounds more musical. The 8006 was "boomy". As a better alternative to either and scalable we got the 8004. A single 18. It's a hell of a 1x18". Tighter than the 8006. There's a 9003(I could be wrong on the number) coming out. It's a 2x21 that I'm curious about. It's supposed to pair up with the new hdl50

I am actually selling off my RCF HDL 20's...I have 4 of them with the flybars with under 15 hours on them...Also have some DB DVA T8's which are still in boxes...

a friend picked up one for 1100$ second hand this week from a rental house with warenty rented it first to try it out :D. we've yet to make it clip but damn it sounds nice reminds me of being infront of a pk sound rig :) and is the first yorkville i like and i hate yorkville. really fills the gaps in a room. they are heavy u need a second guy if ur guna lug one around.... the cloth sucks though i think im going to strip it off and coat it with the same stuff pk uses on their spks. and if u dont know pk look em up.  also u can get them without the cloth for 200$ more new

the settings on the back are very handy and when u tune it in right for the space these puppys really do it :)
