« on: October 14, 2015, 07:35:59 PM »

I just saw these on Danley's web site. They look really really nice. Like I need to start a fund for them nice. 8)

Are these units actually out yet? Any word on pricing and availability?

From the horse's mouth yesterday, they're still finalizing pricing on the DNA line.

We are already shipping both the amps and processors.

I have no idea on pricing, but the office (770-535-0204 or [email protected] ) can help you with that.

There is a lot of processing power (more that appears on the screen), such as virtual eq and all sorts of zoning, combining zones and so forth, if you need it.

One of the big differences in the amps (vs others) is how long they can sustain full power tones, and how low they drop down when the "burst" is over.

The limiters also offer a lot of flexibility-especially on passive loudspeakers-allowing a different limiter setting for the HF driver and is freq and level adjustable.

So, will there ever be FIR filtering ala 'focusing' for Danley full range boxes? Interesting or no?

Not all horns need to have corrective action via DSP.

If the horn is not causing any problems, there is no reason to try to "fix" it.

The "focusing" method is patented.

I know that but but has been licensed to other manufacturers.

Looks like a great product Ivan, with all due respect you need to hire an industrial designer.  It looks like something Technical Pro would build.

Ivan, do you plan on sending these amps to Pat for CAF testing?

I looked at the spec sheet on your website and I am having trouble understanding exactly what the power ratings mean. Crest factor? Are you specifying the peak or average power when you say 1300 watts and a CF of 2? Noise with a crest factor of two implies a peak power 6dB higher than the average power. Are you claiming a 325 watt average/continuous power rating with unclipped peaks up to 1300 watts, or 1300 watts average power with unclipped peaks up to 5200 watts? Or is it 1300 watts "non-continuous", and here's the duty cycle it will withstand?  A footnote on the spec sheet explaining how you test would be what I expect from Danley...
