RF coordination - IAS and loading freqs to avoid

(1/1)

Pete Erskine:
Sometimes when coordinating frequencies for a venue, there is already a sho in the adjacent theatre.  The local RF tech sends over a printout of a few hundred freqs to avoid and then it's hell....

Here is a way to do it automatically.

Thanks Pete...good info to know.
On a related note, when is it useful to unselect 5ths and,or, 3rdTX and when should they always be used?

When calc TX freqs which are in combiners use all.

For mics 3&5 are sufficient.  Not using either will only space freqs with out any intermod calc - this is last resort.

For more freqs lower the distance of 3&5 to 40 MHZ

If you can put everything in same zone.  After calc and you cant find enough RX for BTRs move them to another zone and calc only the ones which couldn't complete.  That way at least some are 3&5 with the TX Zone.

Thank you Pete,

really easy way to add exclusion frequencies. I start to understand the power of IAS...

I wonder if anyone knows of an easy way to do this in WWB. I opened the exclusion files (.cxl, .fxl) in Notepad and Excel and it's kind of hard to make any sense of it, or trying to format it.

Currently there is no way to load freqs into WWB according to Shure.
