..and for those who still are unaware

The problem with this one is that you cannot test a "dynamic" process using a fixed level input signal.

The problem with this one is that you cannot test a "dynamic" process using a fixed level input signal.

You also cannot "fix" phase issues since there is no way to know what needs fixing😕

Don, you are implying the BBE is more then just an EQ,  can you verify this? I have very little experience with the unit... But the little experience I do have did not indicate this.

The problem is that the unit assumes that the speakers being used conform to the preset "out of phase" that the unit is introducing.

If you use different speakers, with a different alignment, then the "introduced delay" will not work well with them.

Many years ago we were running a Yorkville system. Dbl 18 subs and the tops had dbl 15's with 2" horn. I tried a BBE unit and it made a noticeable improvement. I ran it without hi or lo boost. Later on we got a Meyer MSL 3/650 system and I tried it on that. Lasted about a minute and it's been gathering dust since.
I think the unit may improve some passive speakers but it's a real crap shoot.

Should be possible to put one on a true bypass circuit or the insert on a digital board that can be turned on and off.

I have both, just don't want to waste the money on buying one and trying to get it back.  If anyone in the Bay Area has one laying around, we can make another video with various signals.

And to summarize kid's.
The Sonic Crapinizer first alters the incoming signal making it sound like shit. Turning on the Crapinizer then engages the "magic" circuit which puts the removed audio content back into the signal with enhancements to the upper and lower signal range, thus providing that "wow" feeling of accomplishment by making the system sound marginally better, but not a good as the system will sound if properly tuned and with the unit removed.

But things are so much better and more fun if you believe in magic-just ask Mr. Disney.

You guys got nothing on John's expertise on slowing down those frequencies! Throw away those high dollar rack fillers and get you a BBE! /s
